U for U is Underrated
Once again I am blogging my way from A to Z as part of the 2015 April A to Z Challenge! Come blog through the alphabet with me!
As far as letters go, U is sorely underrated. It is mushed between T and V, two very strong sounding letters. But I think after reading this post, it will be unanimous that U is a very fine letter indeed!
U’s are pretty letters. Gracefully curving along the bottom and gleefully throwing up two arms in upstanding joy. If you put a bunch of them together, uuuuuuu, they undulate and remind me of vacations at the sea.
Despite its elegance, U can be very strong. Pair it up with an upside-down U, and it will negate anything. It will turn the interesting into the uninteresting and the couth into the uncouth. Yes, U has unending power!
U also belongs to the select group of letters, B and Y, that are used ubiquitously to represent words when texting. And it takes two U’s to spell the name of the person whose picture I am using for this post.
Maybe we should form a U Union!
