Repeat Tuesday – Six, No Seven, Stages of Dishwasher Withdrawal
It’s as if my life keeps looping around, running on the same track like that Groundhog’s Day movie (Groundhog’s Day is my birthday – coincidence? I think not!)
We moved into our new house, and guess what? The dishwasher wasn’t working correctly, it will cost too much to repair, we have to get a new one. Sound familiar?
Actually, we have been without a dishwasher since before Thanksgiving, but I have been too depressed to talk about it.
In fact, I think I need to amend the stages of dishwasher withdrawal to include depression.
Yes, definitely – there should be a seventh stage: Deep Depression. It manifested itself as I realized I am going to have to buy a second dishwasher this year.
Maybe I should use this opportunity to teach the kids another life skill? Then they can earn back the cost of the dishwasher.
